‘The Bridge’ - 25 September 2022

Welcome,

As this is my last day, I have the opportunity to say my goodbyes to you all. It has been a wonderful 12 years working in the office with my church family and I will miss you all, but I do hope to you see you round and about town.

Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I’ll miss you
Till the time we meet again!

Elizabeth

Season of Creation - "With Us In Trouble"

Join Sandra and Brett for our final Seasons of Creation service as we reflect on our ever-present Creator; our merciful God who never leaves us, even when troubles abound. The readings, should you wish to read them prior, are Psalm 91:1-6, 14-16 and Jeremiah 32:1-3a, 6-9, 15.

National Memorial Service
In order to celebrate the life of service offered by Queen Elizabeth II, the Levin Anglican Church will live-stream the National Memorial Service that is being held in Wellington Cathedral.
The live stream will take place from 2-3 pm on Monday 26 Sep 2022. Members of the public are welcome to join them at 3 Manchester St, Levin.

Cross-Cultural Worship and Fellowship

1:00pm Sunday 2 October

The great relationship we have with our Levin Tongan Methodist brothers and sisters includes regular combined worship services. Normally they join us once a month but next month we will instead be their guests. On Sunday 2 October there will be a combined Levin Uniting and Tongan Methodist service of Holy Communion at 1:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience wonderful bi-cultural worship and to further develop our parish-parish relationship - an opportunity you won't want to miss!

Please note, there will be no 10:00am service on this day.

Refugee Resettlement

We have been advised that the date of arrival in Levin for the refugee families is approximately the end of the second week in October. Four extended families, a total of 14 people ranging in age from 6 years to 70 years are coming. It is not clear yet whether they wish to be housed as four, three or two families.

We will be purchasing the school bags etc over the next few weeks. If you wish to contribute please mark it Missions. This will also be included in your tax credit.
