‘The Bridge’ - 3 June 2022

A message from Brett

Talofa lava, and greetings to you all at the end of this Samoan language week.

It is such a joy to be able to celebrate the many languages that make up our corner of the world: Te Moana Nui a Kiwa, the Pacific Ocean. As Christians, we are mindful of our role as stewards of the wonderful gifts that God has given humanity. And although we may not think of it like this, the many languages and cultures of this world are precious gifts from God. As such, may we rejoice at the diversity of languages and cultures we see represented around.

There's a bit in the calendar this coming week, so grab a cuppa, set yourself up somewhere comfy (and warm!), and enjoy the read.

Yours in Christ,

Brett Reid
Ministry Intern.

Worship this Sunday, 10am

This Sunday, we celebrate Pentecost, the moment in human history when God sent the Spirit of Christ to dwell with his people. In this event, the Jesus-community is sent beyond the lost sheep of Israel and to the ends of the earth. But what is this Jesus-community to look like? Join us as we consider the shape of Spirit-led Christian community. As it is the first Sunday of the month, we will also be celebrating Holy Communion.

Scarfarama & Garage Sale

On Friday 24 June, 9.30am - 12pm. We are holding a scarf, costume jewellery and garage sale to raise money for our kitchen upgrade. We would love you to join us

Pastoral Care

If you or someone you know would like a visit, our Pastoral Care team is on call. Please do not hesitate to call one of the Senior Lay Leaders and they will connect you with one of our visitors.
